The Dinner by Herman Koch

The DinnerThe Dinner by Herman Koch
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This Book seemed to be a retelling of Gone Girl, this was not what I expected and I was not that pleased with it due to the vast similarities. The characters were well developed, and the plot was too, but this book didn't seem to be very original. I feel like the author could have expanded the plot to try to make it more original.

Meritropolis is a combination between many different stories, making it an interesting story the plot is very original, Joel Ohman is able to create a world with flaws and a person who notices it. The story was well developed with many intriguing twists and turns. I really enjoyed this book! This is a very fast-paced book that gives a lot of information about this society. This story is told mainly in 1st person but has some scenes in 3rd person. This made this book a little different.

Prophecy (Legacy #2)Prophecy by Ellery A. Kane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Prophecy is yet another great book by one of my favorite authors! This book continues from where Legacy ends, this is great because nothing is left out. This was an amazing story. The characters developed nicely and they had many layers of complexity, just like the plot. The only thing that I didn't like is the CLIFFHANGER at the end. Now I have to wait for the next book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved Legacy, and also loves different books that are amazing!!

Pity Isn't an Option by Jessica L. Brooks

Pity Isn't an Option (Cozenage, #1)Pity Isn't an Option by Jessica L. Brooks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jessica L. Brooks was able to put me into another world, this slightly sad story was so good, and very moving. Pity isn’t an Option has to be one of my favorite books of all time! This book was slow at first giving the reader the ability to absorb all of the information that is given to set the environment of the book. The plot picks up in the middle of the book, and continues at a steady and fast pace. This story was wonderful in every way! The characters are developed, very complex, and they continue to grow as the story lets on. The plot moves very smoothly, and isn’t confusing. Brooks takes me into a mindscape, and throws me back into the “real world” wanting to know more and hoping for a pleasing ending!
